Julie Indelicato

“Julie Indelicato, an original 16th and Mission performer, has a cult following in her native San Francisco. Part Ella Fitzgerald, part Amanda Palmer, coupled with Ani DiFranco style guitar chords and Bon Iver slides, Julie is unlike anyone in today’s spotlight. … She brings a musical theatre air to each performance, often charming the audience so that one feels as if they’ve known her forever—or wants to start now. “ –Maureen Bee, (Litseen)

“Julie Indelicato combines charisma and musical gusto to captivate a room. To see her live is to be focused on the beauty of musical nuance and entertained by a master performer all at once” -Wonder Dave (host of a many Bay Area performance events including this show)

How can you not want to see her!

Also as always your Gracious hosts Caitlin Gill and Wonder Dave will be returning their bios along with all the other performers’ info can be found by clicking on the Performers and the Hosts tab on the page header (or I  linked it cause who has time to scroll up).

This time allow me to introduce you to:

Maisha Z Johnson

Maisha Z. Johnson is a writer, an activist, and a troublemaker. As a queer black woman of Trinidadian descent, she has never been able to stick to the status quo. Instead, she spends time writing about the view from the outside in by lifting up the voices of those who are often silenced. She spends her days working at Community United Against Violence (CUAV), developing transformative approaches to healing and organizing LGBTQ communities to end the violence they face. She spends her nights making trouble on the page, exploring the relationship between writing and social change, which she chronicles on her blog, Inkblot. Maisha is earning an MFA in poetry at Pacific University, and she’s been a featured reader at Bay Area events including Harlem’s Poetic Rebellion, The Color of My Spirit and New Poetry Mission. She’s thrilled to bring her strange, honest, untamed poems back to That’s What She Said!

Queer Arts Festival Show June 26th!

Hello friends, fans, followers and newcomers!

While we didn’t have a show this May it turned out to be a very exciting month for That’s What She Said! We’ve confirmed more dates for future shows, booked some great performers and we’re gearing up for our upcoming Queer Arts Festival Edition of TWSS!

June 26th at 8pm we’ll be going to the Garage’s new location at 715 Bryant Ave. This show is going to be hella Queer! Tickets are $12 at the Door.

We’ll slowly be be publishing the names in our line up in the days leading up to the show!

Let’s Start right now with some info on Stand Up Comedian Natasha Muse!

Natasha Muse is guaranteed to be at least the second-funniest
transsexual you know.

She began performing in 2002 as “Ginger” at AsiaSF. Her friends
claimed that she was much too shy to be a good performer. The fact
that they were kinda right didn’t stop her from trying it anyway, and
she sorta proved them all wrong.

In the fall of 2008, Natasha made the leap from lip-synching to
stand-up comedy, and began to create a buzz in the San Francisco
comedy scene. Her cerebral wit, whimsical wordplay, and unique
perspective on life have earned her the adoration of audiences and the
respect of her peers.

Natasha also hosts San Francisco’s long-running underground hit “A
Funny Night for Comedy,” writes a blog for Queerlandia.com, produces
the podcast, “Too Soon,” is a member of the sketch group Femikaze and
wastes time well on Twitter.
